Give up all those pieces for Connor Hellebuyck, And then pay him 8 x $9,000,000 the same year you'll be giving big money to Rasmus Dahlin and Owen Power. Yeah that makes total sense.

I would go hard for Helleybuck if he wasn't expiring. This is steep price for rental, since Sabres cannot and would not resign him, because of the amount he`ll demand.

Same goes with Wilson. He would demand big bucks, since it would be his last big contact. I wouldn't be happy with Sabres paying him 6x8m or something in that range.

Not that they both are not worth it, but because Sabres have more important players to resign long term first.
