I think you are asking too much for the wings to take on Garland. Even if they wanted him they are on the hook for almost 5 million a year and giving up a second. That's unlikely. Taro seems like a great AHL player but has issues sticking at the NHL level it seems. Wings fans let me know if I'm out to lunch with that statement.

No reason to sign Rodrigues for that money. Hogs is wasted on a 4th line. He's just not that type of player. He has to be in your top 9 at least and on your PP2 to have any value. You might as well slot Hoglander into your spot for Rodrigues and save over 2 million in cap space.

Doubt Mayfield signs for the 3.75 you have him pegged at and he'll probably want minimum 4 years since this is likely his last contract.

If they sign Compher to that contract then go ahead and ship out Raty as there is no longer a spot for him at the NHL level. Not saying the Compher deal is bad because he's earned that money but there would be other moves upon signing him.

At this point I think it's safe to say Hirose is a AHL player.
