Description
I see a pretty quiet off-season for the Kraken. UFA class is not really the "sexiest" this summer, so I look for outlier signings for the most part.

Soucy is probably gone. If there's a taker, maybe get something for his negotiating rights. Someone out there will pay him more than I think Francis is prepared to. I see an affordable temporary addition to LD that allows Evans time to develop in the minors with occasional looks with the big club.

While they may wrestle with the decision---especially considering the goalie market this off-season---I think Francis gives Driedger another season (his last with SEA?) to tandem with Grubauer, with hopefully better results than the first year.

I like the idea of Francis possibly trading draft capital to perhaps gain a second 1st round pick, or perhaps move up in the draft. Saw an idea like this similar on a PIT ACGM.

I like the build. I would want to see Daccord return and challenge Driedger for the backup goalie spot, but that may just be a matter of personal preference.

I Sea what you did there.

Change the 2nd from Tor to the 2nd from Win and the trade is even.

Yeah, I'm with you. I hope that's the case, as well, actually. Just wonder if he will return or not. (?) . . . He may be able to parlay his impressive play to reach Calder Cup finals into a preferable opportunity.

You're right --- I was getting cheeky with the Toronto picks! I originally had PIT receiving Seattle's pick (52nd) and the 3rd, which according to the value charts also gets us there.

My assumption is that the drop in quality between the two picks is not covered here, but Dubas likes trading down.
