So Arizona trades it’s third overall pick from a year ago for the 8th overall this year because?

Take far more than the 8th overall pick to get Logan Cooley out of Arizona.

I don't think Cooley will sign with the Quebec City Coyotes.

Cooley was selected third overall last year, has since only elevated his value as a prospect with his stellar play at Minnesota in the NCAA (Hobey Baker finalist), and you want to acquire him for the 8th overall pick in this year's draft straight-up?

I mean, I like Leonard/Dvorsky/Benson/Reinbacher and company, but as of now Logan Cooley is better as a prospect than any of them.

So yeah, sorry but your proposal is unrealistic, and horrible value for the Coyotes in a nutshell.

Heck, Arizona doesn't start considering trading Cooley straight-up with a pick until you get to the top 3 this year, which #8 is far from.
