I get that flames fans are looking a bleak situation but just no way I can see leafs paying that for Hanifin. Murray costs 3rd + 5th to dump (I still wouldn’t do it but for sake of argument) - Hanifin gets our ‘23 1st, a young cost controlled RHD that can step into the lineup and one of our top 5 prospects. A bit ambitious and unreasonable

Remove Lily from that trade and Leafs consider. With Lily, there is no way we do that.

The Washington trade doesn’t really make sense for Calgary or Washington. Better to trade Backlund to whoever who wants a 3C and can afford. Eric Staal is a massive overpayment. One of Liljegren and Robertson will have to be removed for it to be reasonable. The value is somewhat good but Detroit is not the team for Lindholm. Carolina is a better fit tbh. I love the offer sheet

NSH likely declines. Toffoli doesn't fit NSH's timeline, and NSH is looking to get younger, not older.
