I like Graves, but I really think RHD top 4 RHD is the critical signing. There's a lot of cap strapped options available for Drysdale for a year.

Also think Leo reports to San Diego, no need to rush his development.

I think Carlsson makes opening night. I think he’ll start in Anaheim and by the 16 games (or whatever number it is before the Calder rules) he’ll go back down. Duck’s pick from Fantilli to Carlsson could have to do with Fantilli wanting to go back to Michigan.

There’s plenty of room on the roster and Carlsson was ranked the most “NHL Ready” of the top 10 (besides Bedard I’d assume).

Is he even eligible for SD? Verbeek only mentioned juniors and SHL in the ESPN interview as options.

Should be, I thought that was the whole benefit of not drafting CHL players, they can enter the AHL at 18.

"Per the AHL’s By-Laws, the age limit for eligibility to compete in the American Hockey League is 18 years or over, on or before September 15 of each season of competition."

I assumed so too but Verbeek mentioned juniors so I was confused. Maybe he misspoke.
