I would imagine LA wants a core piece for Doughty who is a core piece. That would mean either Marner or Nylander.

You're not getting Drew Doughty without one of either Nylander/Marner going the other way, You're just not.

Well maybe the the Kings would demand Marner which they aren't getting. And Kings aren't getting a young stud from the Canes, Jets, Sabres or other teams either. So the Kings stay with there current out of the playoff lineup. Two years from Kings, Kings feel they have to pay Doughty more money to stay. He wouldn't be any better as a Dman , and the Kings continue to finish out of the playoffs.
So all this chest thumping about we're not trading Doughty unless its for a cheap ELC star doesn't make the Kings a better team,

Looking at the team posted. It's worse than the before trades. Sure you have added Doughty, but you deleted four regulars Bozak, Brown, Zaitsev and Komarov. Plus you added Lewis as third string centre, awful, McNabb and Karlsson so what? You really think Bracco is NHL ready? Well it was nice making the playoffs one year in a row.
