Description
Give it 4 years for him to fully reach his stride. I’m telling you all wings fans, don’t sleep on him, he’ll be more dynamic and more responsible than Larkin. Tired of seeing so many wings fans, podcasts etc, be disappointed and point to Moore and Dvorsky as higher ceilings. Sooo out to lunch. Danielson will be very good and equally important, is a right shot centre which we haven’t had in a long long time

On a different page, what are the chances Tuo earns a spot this year?

Danielson was my fifth pick going into the draft at #9. I'm not disappointed at all with him. Funny story, a guy I work with played with his dad back in the day. I think people look at the point totals and don't understand this kid didn't have anyone to play with. I bet you give him one talent on the wing that went in the second round this year and he's a 100 point guy. I'm pretty pumped the more I look into him although I was disappointed at the time since I didn't know much about him. I wanted Yzerman to take Willander and then Moore at 17.
On Tuo I think it really depends if we can find someone else to play in the NHL in free agency or trade.

That’s exactly it. I’m very curious if most have only done their analysis of his ceiling based on point totals. Everyone plays in very different circumstances leading up to the draft: different levels of team success, different levels of line mates, different levels of competition. It’s not an even board. Sure we can surmise that he doesn’t have the offensive upside of Bedard pretty easily. But to say he doesn’t have the offensive upside of Moore, based off the team Moore played on, would be absurd in my view (am aware Moore didn’t play with the top line). But that goes for a lot of the prospects in any draft. I also would have been happy with Willander at 9. I think in the end, I would have had Danielson ranked right ahead of Willander and they would have been my 2 most sought at 9. I posted a red wings draft board list about a week ago where I had Willander ahead of Danielson but switched it up since.

From what I've heard, his team was asscheeks.

I looked at the team roster and point totals, oh man it's not good. Next closest in points was a 21 year old then a 20 year old. Wasn't much after that.

I'll definitely need to watch more of his highlights, but it certainly does seem like his offensive upside is a safe bet.
