Sens likely pass pretty quickly on this idea. Just doesn’t add up well in value or in terms of what they want for DeBrincat which is roster players.

Pesce is a nice piece, but questions about whether he’d sign an extension in Canada would be red flag. Plus DeBrincat is worth more. Suzuki and Rees are just meh players, both are former top prospects that are now 22 and haven’t sniffed the NHL yet. Safe to say they’re not living up to their heir potentials - whereas you’re expecting Ottawa to move 3 NHL players. Doesn’t make sense.

Pesce for 1 year wouldn’t return Debrincat for long-term. But now that we are at point when Pesce could be extended, that could flip it around. Go straight up…
