I also don't know why the Leafs wouldn't just give O'Reilly that same contract. It would have made sense for both sides. I don't love these moves for Nashville for sure.

Duchene buyout doesn’t make sense unless he was bad in the locker room or because his compete was pretty poor— lazy player. Otherwise this lineup doesn’t look half bad with him on it.
