Description
Lines are fluid, but Toews can team with Lehkonen and Nichushkin to form a really good defensive trio. Johansen with Wood and Colton provide size, cycling, and some offensive pop.

I still don't know about Drouin. I'll hope MacKinnon and Rantanen can help raise his game. I kinda have to be optimistic at this point, as what's done is done.

With Foote, I think he's worth a shot. I see Manson being traded as soon as next year, so adding another RHD is a smart play imo. No risk here either, as he could be easily moved or waived if it doesn't work out. It gives Malinski a little competition, and it does so without blocking him in the long run, which I don't see as a bad thing.

It would be really, really great if Drouin can be an effective player but I'll believe it when I see it. The rest of the signings are decent filler and probably about what they do unless they make a trade, which I don't don't see happening at this point.

If drouin doesn't cut it, then he sits while JLF or OO get minutes. They can slide RyJo up into the top 6 and address top 9 wing at the tdl. I think this works pretty nicely.

Chris MacFarland stated that mackinnon was essential in recruiting drouin so maybe they do play together this season
