I honestly think Avs fans need to temper our expectations for Drouin... To me, he's a 3rd liner who fits on the top PP with Nate, Mikko, Val, Makar... He has shown that the pressure of top minutes hurts his performance mentally. For the Avs to get the most out of him, they need to put him in situations where he can succeed.

Honestly at his money, I'm thinking we just try him out on the fourth line with some speed and still slot him in with Mac on the PP. Ben Meyers and Cogliano would make up for his defensive liabilities and he could generate some good chances down there.

The only thing in that trade for TK the Flyers would want is the 1st. We got too many goalies and while Girard is a good player he doesn't really fit the rebuild timeline. So I think the Flyers would pass on this current offer.
