Don't think Addison is waivers exempt anymore, so you're basically giving him away for free if you try to send him to Iowa. If the scenario you've presented happens, Mermis would probably be more likely to make it through waivers.

That being said, the top 6 will go as far as Rossi does this year. The bottom 6 will be a pain to play against. Defense will largely rely on how many minutes can Faber handle, because the bottom pair won't get a ton of minutes.

I truly believe the best thing for the future of this franchise is to miss the playoffs and move Zuccarello, Foligno, Hartman, Maroon, and Goligoski and MAF (if anyone wants them) at the TDL!

I truly believe that's the worst thing the team could ever do for the future of this franchise.

Zuccarello, whether you like him or hate him, is the best choice to have around the system for when Yurov comes over. You want Yurov to succeed? Have him around Zuccarello for a awhile until Zuccarello retires. Not only is Yurov's game particularly built and ideal to be Zuccarello's replacement. Zuccarello's insight and chemistry with Kaprizov is incredibly important to pass along to Yurov.

Hartman's contract is too valuable to the team right now during the buyouts. Moving him is the absolute height of stupidity this team could possibly make.

By all reports it sounds like Foligno was hurt for the majority of last season. His voice is also too important to lose, especially given his work ethic and professional approach to the NHL is EXACTLY what prospects coming up need to be learning.

Ditto that with Maroon. No other player aside from from Fleury has more Championship experience.

Foligno, Fleury, and Maroon may be washed. But even then what they bring to the team is invaluable. They're not here for their play on the ice. They're here to teach and mold the next generation. Moving that out, is again, just plain stupid.

As for Goligoski, he's got a NMC clause that he's not waiving, and more importantly is off the roster regardless after this upcoming season and isn't getting anything back in a trade or is wanted elsewhere. So who frigging cares. You want the team to suck so it can miss the playoffs? Then you want the team to play him. Moving him is counter-productive to your desires.
