I can see it but if he signs an extension then maybe. Like he’s an elite 40 goal scorer that proven and has been our most clutch player in the playoffs even though that’s not saying that much haha

Yeah, but it kinda crazy talk isn' it, basing a trade on a on signed player being allowed to and the agreeing to a contract with another team? Why not trade Matthews, or Bertuzzi or Domi or Klingberg...they are Leafs UFAs in 2024, How about the other 100 upcoming UFA in 2024, shouldn't those teams be trading their players too?
