Wasn't part of Lindholms annoyance that he wanted a shooter to be on his wing (I may be super wrong here).

From an outside prospective, idk why the flames would trade for Debrincat but move Hanifin, Tanev, Mangiapane, Backlund and Lindholm..... I know you'd obviously need to include some for the DeBrincat deal (or picks/prospects) and to free cap to sign Debrincat and that a decent chunk of those guys are in their last year of their UFAs but to me trading for DeBrincat would indicate cup or bust for Flames..

Bruins are not interested in trading a 1st rounder for 1 year of 34 year old Mikael Backlund. They don't have the cap space to make it work even if they did want him.
