Description

Saw more rumors on the Vladdy signing but no real confirmations or hints at the contract. If it's more than this, might need to make additional moves.

I'd personally cancel the TDA trade, move Skjei and keep Pesce. With the Orlov signing, he can run PP2 effectively and he's a bridge to Nikishin so that leaves Skjei as a 3LD and even if he wants to re-sign, he's going to make too much for that role on this team.

Lines are a bit weird. I'm assuming Necas gets another shot at 2C early in the year. If Svech misses time in beginning of season, Drury gets a shot in the top 9 to prove his worth and can either be traded or earn his spot. Realistically Vladdy would be in top 6 but I wasn't finding combos I loved due to defensive deficiencies. I see even distribution among the "top 3" lines and the "fourth line" being a defensive shutdown unit anyways so TOI should be pretty evenly distributed.

Sounds like the Vlad contract is held up by DeBrincat and Sens. Sens offering multi-year deal where Canes are only offering one. Sens contract can’t be done until they move Cat.

As much as I love Dilly, I think the Jets have to move at least 1 veteran D to open up a space for Heinola or Chisholm. Dillon is probably the most likely given his contract.

Not written anywhere, deducing it from reports out there that the Cat/EK trades are gumming up other trades and signing around the league. I think it’s been reported that Sens want Vlad on a multi year deal…
