That draft pick going to new York is a lottery pick with a chance to be Celibrini. I doubt NYR would care that much when they would basically get a mull again at 1st overall.

Also, not sure about the prospect but seems like an overlay conserding the depth of our LD pool.

Why not retain on hall/Murphy/ possibly foligno and or Perry, and have a similar trade from 94 and the rangers add their noonan and mctavish for amonte, ahead of an unprotected first. I’m sure there’s a better package in a rebuild than the first if you’re after lafrienne that hard.

Would be interesting if bedard could bring out the best in lafreniere, just be better if you could acquire him without the needed youth/elc.
