Why not retain on hall/Murphy/ possibly foligno and or Perry, and have a similar trade from 94 and the rangers add their noonan and mctavish for amonte, ahead of an unprotected first. I’m sure there’s a better package in a rebuild than the first if you’re after lafrienne that hard.

I also firmly believe the Blackhawks end up in the 5-10 range of draft order not top 3. Therefore we try to combo two Canadian 1OAs to run the NHL…

Hawks easily decline this trade, Hawks are deep at LHD and have better prospects and young players than what is being offered for Dach.

And, they aren't giving up a lottery pick for AF nor is he worth anything close to $6M

I'm all for trading for Laf. Curious what the price really is. I don't want to offer sheet him though. I don't expect to win tve lottery two years in a row, but who knows where that picks lands? Doubt KD risks the Hawks 1st rounder next year.

These are both easy NO’s for the Hawks, they are overpaying in both proposals.

If they are interested in Lafreniere they could just offer sheet him at $4,290,125 which would cost only a 2nd round pick. The Rangers due to their cap constraints would have a difficult decision to make on matching.

Dach has too much potential to trade for another left handed D prospect who could end up being buried in the depth of the current Left-handed D defensemen pool.
