It's arguably not even better than last year's roster, considering the hole Meier left behind. Also Vlasic is definitely higher up on the depth chart than Burroughs.

Myers for Labanc has been rumored and could happen Sep 1 after a big chunk of Myers' contract is owed. I added Simek because SJ has way too many LD and Vancouver could use him on the bottom pair or as a 7th dman. I understand if Vancouver doesn't want Simek, but the Myers for Labanc part is pretty popular.

Senko is an ok replacement for Meier but I agree, definitely worse. The depth, though, is just so much better. Instead of guys like Gregor, Nieto, Kunin, and Bonino fighting for the top wing spots, you have Duclair, Zadina, Peterson, and Eklund. Myers and Thrun add much needed defensive depth. Goaltending could go any way, worse, better, or the same.

I agree Vlasic is probably better than Burroughs, but I like Burroughs' compete more and if we want to boost his value and try to have a similar situation like we did with Benning, he needs to be playing. Just keep Vlasic as the 7th defenseman (no need to buy him out if we aren't competing) and let others have playing time.
