i seen nolan patricks name in the free agent pool and i was wondering the same thing. He's essentially what we need there, RW/center, right hand shot and some size. I would like to see him given the chance, although one more head shot and he might be dead, his career might just be done to save his life. As for the rest i think it makes sense.

That's fair but he's a young kid, I doubt he retires without at least giving it one more year.. kid has great upside and if he doesn't pan out it's like the drouin contract, no sweat.

I also think callan foote makes alot of sense unless they are that big of believers in malinski or they are waiting for timmins to go through waivers

This plan works for me, even though I'd still like one depth forward signed, but eventually the Pavels, Foudy, etc. need a chance. Short leash on Meyers.

Oh ya meyers would still have to win the job, you would hope the competition would raise their play..

I didn't see that much from meyers last year but the guys at DNVR seem to think that he played much better than his statline last season and were talking about a potential Meyers-colton-wood 3rd line

With Foote, love the name not the player. Would much prefer Caleb Jones.
Patrick fine, but like Pius Suter as a PK guy who can play wing and C and not so injury prone.
