Description

Took two trades I saw from a Leafs fan and Jets fan. I think both benefit the Canucks.

Losing both Garland and Boeser makes the forward group worse in the short term, but both trades make our Defense A LOT better. Jarnkrok and Appleton are downgrades but still adequate replacements.

Maybe more importantly, this gives us way more cap flexibility next summer to re-sign Pettersson and Hronek, with room to add to the roster. In short, we'd have a much better chance of opening our window by 2025 or 2026.

Leafs would never do that, we would possibly get worse short term and definitely worse long term
