While I think he gets signed around the $1.5M mark, when it's August and you're one of the last remaining free agents, you're not exactly able to be so picky.

I don't think players like him want to wait out injuries.

I think he'd retire rather than play that cheap. If he were willing to sign that cheap he'd already have a contract IMO
