Conditions on player(s) resigning violates the CBA and have been barred. Why would Tatar take a 3.25 million dollar pay cut?

Where's Tatar going to get more than he was making last season? He's going to have to take a major pay cut.

This Flames trade is awful for both teams. I'd honestly rather just run KK at 2C again after his second half of last season (55 point pace) downgrading from Skjei to Zadorov and paying the extra pieces makes no sense. This team gets worse than what we already have

I didn't say he won't take a pay cut but 80% pay cut? If he were willing to sign that cheap he'd be signed. Or he can make the same in Europe and play half the games. Or retire and enjoy his post Hockey life. Quality of life matters .
