I wouldn't be surprised if Draisaitl won the Richard.

He's not beating Matthews. Especially a Matthews with a chip on his shoulder

I know this is a hot take; if Matthews gets 65+ and gets a nom for the Selke, I think Matthews runs away with the Lindsay and the Hart

Another one: If the Leafs face Carolina in RD 3 and the Oilers in the SCF while their big guys play like they did in RD 1 of the last 2 years: Leafs will win it all

Carolina is the worst opponent for the Leafs to run into... especially with their blueline built the way it is. Carolina's backend is best equipped to shut down Toronto's big four. Plus, if any of Jarvis, Svechnikov or Kotkaniemi take another step in development, or even if Aho or Necas find another gear... it's going to be difficult for anyone to beat them. Especially if Freddie plays the way he did last playoffs again.

It's certainly possible. Draisaitl (52) had more goals than Matthews (40) last year, and has scored more in the past 5 seasons (231) than Matthews has (225).

Draisaitl is the more consistent goal scorer, with more 50 goal seasons (3) than Matthews (1).

When you consider these facts I'd say the odds of a Draisaitl win are higher than a Matthews win. Especially considering Matthews misses time with injuries every season and Draisaitl rarely does.
