Edit: If it goes wrong, there is something wrong organizationally. The players are a really nice mix.

New coach with new system, one injury to goalie from being bottom team (shesty) and aging core and uncertainty in what they have in their young players. Is some of the potential reasons that comes to my mind

First trade makes no sense for ANA. 2 of their best prospects are LD, they’re thin at wing and RD. Not to mention they need more size on the back end. They’re trading away the types of players they need the most
