Not arguing the price, I just don't think Kubalik is a fit here. We have enough middle 6 forwards and a bunch of rookies that need ice time.

Not sure what is funny but if you trade Kubalik for a pick, it frees up 2.5, which is a lot more than what they need, hence why they could even afford to retain if it helps making the deal happen

The Athletic valued a Pinto 2 years extension at 1.78, look at the other forwards coming out of their ELCs and the extensions they got. Harvey-Pinard got 1.1 x 2 years after scoring 14 goals in only 34 games for example

Pinto could come at less than 1.78 on a 1 year deal, which is ideal for both sides as the Sens get cap compliant and Pinto could cash in as soon as next season
