Not really correct though - Pens fans just dream of fielding the best roster possible and aren't obsessed with age like you are. Pens were the 3rd oldest team in the league when they won in 16-17 - never had 10-12 regulars 25 yo or younger in either cup run. Vegas was the 6th oldest team in the league last year - only had 5 regulars 25 years old your younger. TBL had the 5th and 6th oldest rosters in their back to back cup runs. There's no prerequisite for number of young players you need to win or average age that you need to be under to win a cup. What matters is putting the best team possible on the ice.

If they can get better AND younger players, of course we would all be on board. But that's just not an option

In like 3-4 years those contracts will probably be bad value if production drops and the cap doesn't go up a ton - but the Pens maybe have a 2 year window at best anyway so it doesn't really matter. As of right now all those contracts are fine value
