Good additions for sure. I like these additions quite a bit. Kane would be a huge add also if he agree to 1m or less.

Kessel gives them a little offensive boost from time to time. Backlund provides a lot of stability.

if I were Calgary I would ask for one more pick to that package. Drury + 2nd + 4th? Or I would try for a 1st round pick and no prospect.

Why Kessel? I mean, where he is at in his career, and just the overall type of player he is, really doesn’t make him that great a fit on the Canes with the system Rod employs
