Description

I am still on the fence for keeping myers, but this blue line is far better than what we have now. With these changes, we have more of a Tocchet style defence, with not much chaos, puck moving up and down, perfect for low event hockey. Peeke and Bear can be swapped, due to their size I have them partnered in a particular way. I just dont think that there will be any action on Garland, I think we would be better off moving Beauviller, he’s expiring, he’s cheaper, and we could probably get a deal done like this. He would fit into the CBJ lineup on their 3rd line with Sillinger and Johnson and we would take back the expensive AHLer in Robinson. Canucks get cap space and get an RD, CBJ saves on real dollars and gets an expiring deal for a defenceman who they have no use for

RD with size and pedigree

They aren’t moving Severson,
Jiricek is their future
Gudbrandson is being paid better than most royalty
That leaves peeke on the outside looking in.

agreed, you can request a trade but you signed the contract so you cant refuse to play, he’s been good so far, he would have more takers in the off season

Why does Boston do this? They don’t have the cap space to do it. They’d have to get rid of Grzlecyk separately to do it and they actually have reasonable depth at RD between Mitchell, Walsh, and Regula between Boston and Providence.

Peake for Garland makes sense. It should happen.
