Description
Through 6 games:

Negatives:
Tuch looks awful; has to be playing injured or something
Okposo is absolutely cooked. Does not have the speed to play in the lineup anymore
Girgensons to a degree also looks like he's taken a step back. Could have something to do with playing with Okposo though.
Erik Johnson is killing them 5v5. I'd hesitate taking him out of the lineup considering I think he's been a part of the reason the PK has been so good. 36% expected goals at 5v5 is killing them though.
Cozens has looked better the last few games but still doesn't look right.
Peterka hasn't taken the kind of jump many thought he would. Still gets knocked off pucks so easily.
Olofsson is an anchor at 5v5. Offers nothing.
THE PP: Having a Thompson one-timer being the entire strategy for the pp was never going to work this season. Cozens isn't good enough of a playmaker to be a flank and Skinner's passing decisions kill any kind of movement down low.

Positives:
Greenway has been solid. Looks like he has more of an offensive touch this year
Mittelstadt has continued his strong play from the end of last season (except tonight he was bad)
Probably the best stretch of games Jokiharju has played since 19-20. Still not a very good player but serviceable
I actually think Krebs has looked pretty solid. Been holding on to the puck a little longer and looking to make plays

Goaltending hasn’t been it, I think that’s the big issue so far, at least on the defensive end

They won't pay the price to score the dirty goals, seems everything needs to be pretty. Unfortunately I wish his skating had improved some more, but they need a Brett Murray type or 2 who can plant there Big A$$ in front and get dirty.

Tuch hasn't found his rhythm yet but its a huge stretch to say he looks awful. Imo the worst thing our team is doing is just making poor decisions with the puck. Trying to force passes that aren't there instead of shooting, giving the puck away by trying to dangle guys in the neutral zone, or Connor Clifton just being a potato with the puck. Cozens has been one of our best players but agreed he hasn't played his best yet. Greenway and Samuelsson have been the best Sabres so far imo, both are stalwarts defensively and Greenway is producing lots of havoc in the O-zone. I'd like Biro and Kozak to get a few games early on to bolster the speed of our 4th line but no way Granato scratches Z or Okie. Our PK is a huge positive, unfortunately our PP is inept so far and our 5v5 goal scoring is non-existent

And funny how Greenway Tage and Krebs have been a bigger part of the PK. The Tage Greenway with Samuelsson Johnson at D are doing a good job. That's a lot of stick length in the passing and shooting lanes with that group.
