Description

Brown needs more time to get back to his previous level, possibly 10 games in the AHL, Erne is a non-factor, Desharnais is a tire-fire with the puck and Skinner is a mess. Send them to Bakersfield and give the young talent a chance to show what they can do. Sadly, none of these moves will happen in the next couple of weeks because old hockey guys are too stubborn and too stuck in their ways to quickly adjust.

The Oilers will need another long hot streak at the end of the season to get out of this one. Again.

If someone wants to take him, so be it. But I really doubt that happens.

Since the playoffs to date Skinner has been rocking about an 88% percent save percentage, including preseason games. He has easily been the worst NHL goalie in each of these segments and cumulatively.

If someone takes him, good luck to them.

Awesome, then that becomes their problem. Why would another GM want someone else’s problem for free. There is a premium cost for that in this NHL.

A team like SJ would then have 49 contracts, so I doubt SJ would make a claim for a player who can’t currently play hockey at an NHL level.

They want solutions, not more problems.
