It's not that big a difference. You pay US taxes for each state that the game is played in. So for all those away games...you pay that state's tax rate. Plus, FLA isn't the only team with zero state tax. Lightning, Knights, Kraken, Predators, Stars all have no state income tax.

It's a FAR bigger financial issue if a team is willing to front end load a contract than state income tax.
