Pettersson wants to win and I’m not sure trading away our 2nd best forward is going to help do that…. Miller has a NMC anyways

Vancouver would have done that deal last year. The team is in a different place now

Canucks aren’t moving Miller, and they’ll have more than enough cap space to sign Pettersson. They have around 18 million in expiring UFAs (Beauvillier, Myers, Cole, Blueger, Desmith, Lafferty) plus the cap is going up

End of the season or before the season, a trade like this concept works. Not in season, probably also want Johnson over Sillinger if Miller keeps playing like this. What's the point if we can't use the cap space, right?
