I’d have to guess player wasn’t super happy, plus coaching staff didn’t want to give invest more minutes in a 23 year finding his game (when MIN has a ton of D) and management didnt want to deal with a contract conversation that might not go well in the offseason?

Hahaha - Add Mcdavid to this team and they would still very comfortably finish last place in the league. I wouldn't worry about it :P.

I mean they need as many good young pieces as possible, so they can be competitive in 4 years time haha.
