Lord help us. Also why not call up Iorio over McIlrath? He’s never shown anything at the NHL level.

They don't expect McIlrath to actually play, give a vet some extra days with an NHL paycheck and don't mess with Iorio who honestly hasn't been the best this year in Hershey anyways.

Caps really need another defenseman, even if TVR and Fehervary are healthy. AA HHA and Johansen have been varying levels of unplayable, AA especially
