I don't think it's wise for Ottawa to trade any more 1st round picks. Konecny would be a nice add and would fit in nicely, but an extension would need to be in place prior to the trade. Can't risk trading away more of the future for 1 year of Konecny.

Positive, easily, if he's healthy and performing as he his right now. He's won a selke trophy and before taking a season off was regarded as one of the league's premier two-way centres. With the cap ceiling going up and guys like Kadri and Horvat getting contracts like his, I believe he provides more value than his contract costs. On the Bruins especially, where they'd make great use of him.

If he’s healthy is the only reason I am asking the question. This is not a question of his talent. It’s a question of his ability to stay on the ice over the course of that contract.
