Mittelstadt is young forward can play center or wing. He is a playmaker and has proven to be legit top 6 guy and one of the Sabres most consistent forward. He is also very good defensively.

I think Kaapo could use a change of scenery and hopefully a young Buffalo team can help jump start his career. His only value comes from being high draft pick. If he wasn’t a top pick he wouldn’t have any value.

Not as bad as the Sabres fan from this afternoon who proposed Chytil for a sub .900 goalie, someone who's not even a full time NHLer yet, and a 4th round pick. At least CM provides some value.

But to be fair, the deal is really
Mitts > Schneider
So if not Kakko, (who we frankly don’t need to be part of the deal anyways), what would u guys provide instead to even it out?
