Might be pretty fair deal. But Giordano and Liljegren are returning, so who gets bumped out the lineup. I assume that the Leafs think Niemela is a long term keeper.
Leafs might make a deal like this closer to TDL when they see how their seven or eight man Dman core looks like come February. Right now no panic,

No way Seeler bumps McCabe down in the lineup. McCabe has been playing top 4 hockey for sure.
