I am confused how Sundqvist made it all the way to July 12th until he signed and how he only got league min. No one offered him more?! What a steal.

Yes, several teams offered him more. He wanted to come back to STL.

Today, no thanks. A little later or at the deadline? Conceivably. If it's just a 5th, I'd rather hang onto him in the event a) he gets hot like last year again and/or more likely b) to use as a nice add in bigger trade.
