Cleaning House? Thats like primarily a junk sale.

ABB is 26 yrs old, Perbix had a magical 22-23 but that was the abnormal, de Haan, Sheary all of them together might get a 4th

PHI would take Nick Paul (they lack centers), but I don't think they'll part with a 2nd for him.

But really you're counting on alot of over achievement from those young guys to remain a solid team, when too much of the cap is in 3 forwards/2 dmen/goalie (48mil) and the team has been moving youth/picks for a few years)

im not saying they need to be a solid team, but something has to give at this point. rather see what we have in guys like Goncalves and Merela. im sure you could add a Sergachev/Cernak/Jeannot or maybe even a Hedman and go full on retool/rebuild, problem is Cernak and Sergachev just started 8 year deals, Jeannot isnt gonna get the same return we gave up for him, and Hedman might get a couple of decent prospects cause hes on a steal of a deal for 1 more year but his play has declined since 2021-22

True, But Cernak or Cirelli not only create more cap space, but much better value.

Say Cernak to PHI for Frost or Laughton AND a ufa dman replacement one of Seeler or Walker and a high 2nd rounder or a solid upper midlevel prospect, not only creates cap space but may address multiple weaknesses without tearing it down. On a rebuild like PHI or CHI, they wont be as scared of those long deals.

But most of the guys you've traded above (except Stamkos and maybe Paul) dont really have enough value to "right the ship" or provide anything longterm

if you are looking for someone to coach your team that isnt what he does, he is a people manager. The assistant coaches are the ones actually coaching our team and they are doing ass right now
