Anyone who watched Leafs games this season knows Bertuzzi has been the perfect fit. Gives us two dangerous lines; agree 100% Leafs should lock up both.

I assume you meant Leafs can’t afford him? I disagree. Of course, it means compromise in other areas (goalie mostly) but Bertuzzi - despite relatively poor goal scoring / production - has been really, really good imo. And given voodoo nature of goaltending, I’d be OK proceeding with Woll + 2x1B options - one on Leafs and one buried with Marlies (Jones 2.0)

kind of ignores the defense as a whole and how good can it be when you have 11 mil for 3 forwards, 4 dmen and a 2B goalie AND timmins is in your top 4

I just think you can find value with a less popular name and spend that money on defence. Matt Roy is my target but only if he costs less than 6 million. I have a feeling Peace and Roy are going to get way too much money.
