Description

Not realistic for Marner to do so but if he were to I'd be surprised if it is to anywhere other than LA. LA gets their young superstar and would still have 18 mill to do the rest of their bidding. Toronto gets a great 3C who will probably be their 2C by midseason. And they can resign Willy, Bert, and Domi to have that depth. While also revamping their D core to have a much more complete top 4. Toronto gets their kid line for line 3 and a solid top 6. This team probably goes to ECF if Woll plays well. If not they still have 2.3 mill and Robertson to trade for a true starter

Yeah, No. If we're going to sign anybody for gazillions, it will be William Nylander as a free agent, which costs us nothing (except money). And he plays the same position as Mitch Marner.

Or if Marner were willing to waive that also means he’d want to sign in LA. So they could just wait and sign him

Extend Marner for 8 years, then retain ~40% of his salary for the duration, and the Kings might consider this.

The LAK can't fit in Mitch Marners $10,903,000 cap hit. They don't have anywhere close to that kind of cap space.

If Brett Pesce was willing to sign for 4 x $5,000,000 he'd remain in Carolina same can be said with Tyler Bertuzzi and Detroit.

If you lose Mikey and Byfield then they're only taking on an additional 6 mill, plus Byfield makes probably 5 so they're really only taking on 1 extra mill.
