Ogre and moving up 10 spots doesn't get it done.

The Wild have cap issues, You only have close to $10,000,000 to sign like 10 players. And Zegras eats more than half of the Wilds cap. You need to do salary for salary. This isn't going to work.

That comes down to the figure it out later part I was referring to prior, in the other thread.

I'm more concerned with just the general framework of a deal right now. Trying to figure out the how much before the post trade financials. Once I have a ballpark, then things can get tweeked accordingly. Either with the current trade or supplemental ones to make cap room.

While I agree this doesn't get it done, 35 to 7 is more than 10 spots.

You don't need to embellish.

I mean, Zegras for as good as he is, is looking like a 2nd line winger. You're already getting a top A-level prospect with size, two-way play, and scoring ability on top of the current 7th OVA pick.

This is more than what Dach got, which is Z's closest comp. And the simple fact that Zegras isn't nearly worth a top-ten pick at all, you're still getting that plus more.

I also think you're confused. Anaheim is sending its 2nd round pick not its own 1st.
