If I answer with a half dozen more 1st round picks, will Vancouver fans drop the idea?

He has 5 years left on an absolute steal of a contract. They miss the playoffs, who cares? They have like $27m in injuries right now, including their starting goalie, half their top 4 D, and their star winger. Guerin should be fired on the spot if he makes a trade of a long term key piece of the roster off them not making the playoffs. JEEK will still be around and in his prime when the dead cap drops off and some of their prospects start to show what they are.

Easy pass by Minnesota.
This trade is pathetic.
Eriksson Ek is not available, and Minnesota isn’t willing to trade him.

If you squint really hard to where 'Eriksson-Ek' starts to look like 'Guentzel', I'd say you're in the ballpark.
