These Jake trades are getting silly. No one gave any indication he isn’t looking to extend with the Pens.

I don't mind this for CGY, especially if we lose a D or 2 at the deadline. It would give the Flames some time to see if it's a good fit.

You're not wrong, but apparently those talks would only take place after the season. If we hold onto him and somehow miss the playoffs, odds are he probably leaves, so that risk is way too much for me.
