Description
Line ups could change once Podkolzin gets it going and find himself in the top 6
Trades
PIT
  1. Kuzmenko, Andrei
  2. Podkolzin, Vasily
  3. 2024 1st round pick (VAN)
VAN
  1. Guentzel, Jake
  2. 2024 2nd round pick (PIT)
Additional Details:
It’s hard not to involve Kuzmenko with how bad things have been for him this year and it would make perfect sense to send him off elsewhere. It’s also hard not to involve a younger talent like Podkolzin as he’s stuck in the minors and with a prospect like Lekkerimaki, could make Podz available for trade. And then the first will always be involved.
As for Pittsburghs side of things if we want a haul like this from Vancouver, realistically we'd have to throw in a draft pick to make this more appealing for teams to take.

Based on reports/rumours I think the Canucks would be more likely to include Hoglander over Podkolzin in a trade

Canucks pass.
Canucks can’t afford Guentzel.

I don't know how much the Pens would like Podkolzin but if they like him a lot, then removing the 2nd would make the trade acceptable for the Pens.

A 1st and 2nd swap would essentially be trading down 20ish spots.

This is an easy no for the penguins.

For starters they're not sending a 2nd round pick back to the canucks and as @victor24 mentioned that's basically swapping a late 1st for a mid 2nd.

Second, the penguins if they sell Jake are going to retain 50%, so Kuzmenko absolutely doesn't need to be involved, that's not the penguins problem.

2024 1st + Hoglander + Podkolzin would probably get Jake at 50% retention.
