I'm not seeing how this benefits the Wings unless they're trying to free up cash for another move?

It also just seems odd. Like why are the Wings paying a premium to get the lesser player?

There's absolutely no rumor involving Kakko to Detroit.

It comes from NHLTradeRumors and they're not a legit source. If we move Berggren it's for an upgrade on the top 4 or C not a winger with only 3 points so far.
