Leafs trade is probably too much for just Walker and taking on Samsonov, despite how bad he's been, he's only got a year left on 3.5mill, not really worth what I assume is Hirvonen and 3rd and a 5th

maybe because they cant afford to just lose the year, with all their key players a certain age, and 3mil in cap space (to one of the few places Carter might waive) is gold.
