I honestly don’t see WPG giving up McGroarty in any Lindholm deal, that doesn’t include an extension agreement… and even then it’s iffy.
Jets value McGroarty highly, and won’t just give him away for a rental.

No, Jets don't have to figure out how to extend Lindholm. Just spend cap on another UFA.

I haven't done a deep dive into the Jets cap situation going forward but with those awful extensions for Hellebuyck and Scheifele I speculate that they're going to need good young talent on ELCs to offset those future albatrosses therefore I can't see them trading McGroarty for a rental, they just won't have the cap space to sign Lindholm and they probably shouldn't anyway even if he's willing given his age and rumored contract want.
