lmfao wtf... FIrstly, DAL couldn't take on both of those contracts even with 50% retention in that trade. Besides the fact you are seriously undervaluing both of them. You'd need to take back Suter or something, as well as find a 3rd team to take on 50% of each. DAL has zero money.

You can press the Plus sign on the trade to do the retention. I don't think CGY would want to retain 3 years on Markstrom. Certainly not for that return anyway

Ottawa declines. They don't need another LD, especially one on an expiring contract that likely wouldn't re-sign. Chychrun has said he wants to be in Ottawa, so no point in moving him unless it's for a need which Hanifin doesn't fill.
